Amazon Releases Kindle app for iPhone, ebook readers rejoice
If you’re like me and can’t bring yourself to spending the $359.00 for an Amazon Kindle, but still like the idea, then today is your day. Available now in the iTunes App Store is Amazon’s new Kindle application, and it’s free.
According to Tuaw the app apparently does not connect directly to the Kindle store, to get ebooks on your iPhone you will need to purchase them (via Safari) and then download them onto the device via the app. Also, the text-to-speech function of the new Kindle 2 is absent in the iPhone app version.
Tech blog TechCrunch has a great walk through of the application for those wanting to know more.
