App Review: Chopper by Majic Jungle Software
Chopper by Majic Jungle Software is a rescue game where you guide your helicopter into dangerous situations to save people. Once these people have climbed into your helicopter, you must safely guide the group back to the base. Arrows on the screen indicate where victims are, and green circles surround them when they are in view. Likewise, the enemies are circled with red.
There are four levels of difficulty. Each difficulty has more victims to save, and more enemies to avoid. The Pacifist difficulty is by far the hardest because there are a lot of enemies and tanks to avoid, but you don’t have the ability to fight back. In the other difficulty levels, you can drop nukes on your enemies from above or shoot them directly with the machine guns in the front. If you are shot by an enemy or crash into a building, your chopper explodes. After failing three times, you die. To fly your helicopter simply tilt your iPhone or iPod in the direction you want to move. You get bonus points for every victim you save, as well as for killing the enemies. During your game, you can adjust the tilt controls and also choose how your weapon is fired.
At the end of the game, you can save your score to the high scores list. I liked this game. It offers a very simple concept with nice replay value. Once you have mastered the easier difficulties, the next levels up make the game worth playing again and again. Definitely worth $0.99. Chopper is an awesome action-packed shooting game.
Chopper is $0.99 in the iTunes App Store.
