App Review: iShoot by Ethan Nicholas
iShoot by Ethan Nicholas is a great war strategy game. The goal of the game is to destroy your enemies’ tanks and be the last one standing. You choose the number of players, rounds, and rule type. You can also choose the color, look, and name of your tank. You begin with $15,000 to buy weapons. There are many types of weapons, some break into smaller pieces, some explode on impact, and others create dirt walls and barriers to cover your opponent.
As the battle begins, you have unlimited mini mortars, and 250 units of fuel. You and your opponents take turns trying to hit and destroy each other. Place your finger on the screen and move it up and down to select your trajectory. Once you have selected the angle of your shot and your weapon, press and hold the fire button until you have reached your desired power and release. Watch out for the wind. It can dramatically affect your shot. After each round you go into the weapons list and buy more weapons. You gain money for damaging your enemies, destroying your enemies, and winning the round.
One of the coolest features is the ability to create your own weapons. You can alter every aspect of the weapon from the name and power, to the look and size. Once you have completed your perfect weapon, you can test it on a computer with the test your weapon button.
This game is smooth, with great graphics. You can even play against your friends over a WiFi network. iShoot is one of those must have apps that never seems to get old.
iShoot is $1.99 in the iTunes App Store.
