ignite4 150x150 App Review: Ignite by Monster GilaIgnite by Monster Gila is a challenging precision based game for the iPhone. Your life has been thrown upside down by the water putting out your fire, and it is your job to relight the world. Your goal is to jump from platform to platform, relighting fires to save your people.

The controls to this game are very simple. To jump, press one of the buttons on the left or right side of the screen and slide in the direction you wish to go. The farther you slide your finger, the more powerful your jump is. You have three lives for each level. If you miss a platform, get hit by an enemy, or run out of flame juice, you will lose a life. To regain power, jump on a wooden platform and use the flame energy to regain. If you stay on a wooden platform too long, the platform will break through, and you may not survive. There are boss villains every so often, and you can play every level you have beaten in the past from the main menu.

Ignite does require quite a bit of patience when you are first starting out, but once you get the hang of it, this game rocks.  There are over 30 well designed levels, with three backgrounds. The graphics on this game give you the feel of real fire. Ignite is a fun game that will definitely be on your iPhone for more than a few days.

Ignite is $0.99 in the iTunes App Store.
