App Review: Shape Slide by Static Lime Software
Shape Slide by Static Lime Software is a fun puzzle game similar to the board game Perfection. The goal is to take shapes from the right side of the screen and put them in their designated spots within the time limit.
There are four board sizes: 6×6, 5×5, 4×4, and 3×3. The larger the board, the more pieces that need to be placed in their spots. Once you have chosen your board size, you must now pick a game play style. There are three types of game play including: standard, shifting, and orderly. In the standard mode, you can place the shapes in their places in any order you want, as long as you place them all before the time limit ends. In shifting mode, every time you place a shape in the correct spot, all unoccupied spaces shift around. In the orderly mode, only one opening is revealed at a time. This causes you to have to search for the piece that is shown.
There are five levels of speed ranging from unlimited time, to insane speed. Once you have completed a level, a trophy is shown out to the side. Your best time and trophy for each game play mode is displayed to the right of the modes.
This is a fun game that is very similar to Perfection with so much more. There are 36 well drawn shapes in all. If you loved Perfection as a child, or think you have a quick finger, Shape Slide is for you.
Shape Slide is $0.99 in the iTunes App Store.
