stoneloops4 150x150 App Review: StoneLoops! of Jurassica by PlayCreek LLCStoneLoops! of Jurassica by PlayCreek is the first Zuma-like game for iPhone/iPod Touch. The goal of this game is to eliminate the colored lines of balls before they reach the end of the level. The rounds of balls continue until the bar at the top of the screen completely filled.  Then you must destroy all of the remaining colored balls. If you don’t want to use the color given, place a second finger on the screen to switch to the next color.

To destroy the blocks, tap to release a ball from the slider at the bottom and match up three or more balls of the same color to destroy them. If you destroy a group of balls with same color balls on each side, they pull towards each other and give you combos. As you destroy groups of same colored balls, power-ups and gems are dropped. Some power-ups include: meteor showers, lightning, and reverse. To collect these items, place your slider under the objects to catch them.

There are two game modes: Classic and Grab’N'Shoot. The Classic mode is the basic mode. In Grab’N'Shoot, instead of shooting new balls that you are given at random, you take a ball from anywhere on the line and place it next to other balls of the same colors to destroy them. There are 75 levels in both modes.  The levels get more and more difficult and there are more colors on each level. As you complete levels, you can use gems to upgrade your house and earn trophies. You can view your high scores from the menu.

This is the first great Zuma remake for the iPhone. This is a great app with a high replay value and an awesome low price. The power-ups and extra game play modes make this a great app.

StoneLoops! of Jurassica is $0.99 in the iTunes App Store.
