castleconflict1 150x150 App Review: Castle Conflict by Broken KingsCastle Conflict by Broken Kings is a challenging castle defense game.  Another castle in encroaching on your territory.  Your job is to defend your castle from invaders and take out the enemy castle to reclaim your land.  Each castle starts with 25 pieces of gold that can be used to enlist the help of soldiers, thieves, woodcutters, calvary, knights, cannons, bombs, and blimps.  25 pieces of gold go pretty fast, though.  To get more gold, you need to send out your woodcutters to chop down the trees and harvest the natural resources.  This task is harder than it sounds, though.  The woodcutters are the slowest moving characters in the game.  If an enemy soldier or cavalry overtake them, your woodcutter will not be able to return to your castle with the money you need.

There are three levels of difficulty, as well as options for game length and tree growth rate.  However, the basic game remains the same.  I found that on the easy setting, the game was pretty easy.  The difficulty quickly increased, though.  It gets harder and harder to keep one step ahead of your opponent.  The only complaint I would voice is the one that I have seen others complain of in the iTunes App Store, which is that there really only is one level with three levels of difficulty.  It would be nice to have some more variation and more options.  Overall, Castle Conflict is a good game.

Castle Conflict is on sale for $0.99 in the iTunes App Store.
