Yesterday, in Apple’s “It’s Only Rock and Roll” event they introduced new iPod Touches, new iPod Nanos, iTunes 9, iPhone OS 3.1 and much, more.
New iPod Touches
- New storage sizes, new price points (8GB for $199, 32GB for $299 and 64GB for $399). There is NO 16GB model.
- 8GB model is pretty much the same as previous.
- 32GB and 64GB models have new internals (50% faster) including support for OpenGL|ES 2.0. This is probably more inline with the 3GS speed upgrade.
- 32GB and 64GB models have new headphones with remote and microphone. The bigger models also have voice control.
- Same form factor as before.
- NO Cameras on iPod Touches. Unfortunately this was widely rumored but proved to be a no show at the event.
