App Review: Fruit Ninja by Halfbrick Studios

When i saw the title of this game while reading an article  immediately knew what it would entail, however i thought the novelty value would run out after a play or two and that would be that. To my surprise the game has depth and keeps me coming back for more.

If you don’t know already the game sees you as a ninja training his skills on unsuspecting fruit, as you start to slice through the colored assortment the speed and frequency increases giving you more of challenge. Not only do you have to be nimble to slice each fruit but you have to be careful not to slice bombs which you will see more often as your score rises.

Not only do i enjoy the game itself but also the overall experience that Halfbrick has worked so hard to achieve. In menus you navigate chopping revolving fruit and when you run out of lives you are shown quick facts about fruit from the awe inspiring Sensei.

To top it all off the game supports open feint which brings replay value such as challenging your friends and unlocking achievements.

Overall id give this game 8/10 as the fun game is well worth the 99c
