Independent mobile developer Aki Yokosuna today announces a tremendous unfurling of positive public reception, awareness, and support for the developer’s first commercially available mobile product, having recorded hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales upon release. Yokosuna’s application is a math based app termed myCalc which only supplies its users with the three most fundamental tools needed to solve equations – an empty work space, a tool to write, and plenty of room to think.

Kyoto, Japan – Aki Yokosuna, speaking on his own behalf as an independent developer of mobile applications for the iPhone, iPod, and iPad, today announces the commercial success of his first commercially available mobile application, a math-oriented mobile utility named myCalc. The app is a free form equation solving tool that is virtually unlimited in its range of use and adaptability to fit both business as well as recreational needs. The myCalc app allows any user to input vastly diverse mathematical equations and procure answers for them at speed limited only by the user’s ability to reason through a given equation. myCalc is currently available in the iTunes App Store.

Yokosuna, the applications chief creator has stated that the myCalc app, which was released for the iPhone, iPod, and iPad less than one week ago, has already grossed over three quarters of a million dollars in sales revenue and shows no indication of subsiding in popularity with thousands of new downloads continuing to register with each day the app is available for purchase.

Yokosuna was not alone in publically voicing surprise and elation regarding the fervent success of the developer’s myCalc app. Yokosuna’s father, Haiko Yokosuna Sr. – a longtime financial benefactor of the now-successful young independent developer – released a public statement in conjunction with his son expressing excitement over the app’s success. Yokosuna Sr. cited the unpredictable and dynamic nature of the virtual Apple Marketplace as well the effectiveness of the viral web campaign headed by ComboApp that Yokosuna Sr. helped finance to market for the young developer’s app as key factors to the myCalc app’s successful launch.

“It was an exciting experience. Going into this we knew that the biggest trick would be getting myCalc noticed, and we were sure that if people just realized that it was on the market, that we’d have a chance at making a big splash. The guys at ComboApp got us that public awareness. After that we just buckled down for the ride. Doing business in Apple’s App Store’s like being in the Wild West, anyone can make a hit and reap millions.” – Haiko Yokosuna, myCalc Investor and Partner of Development.

Aki Yokosuna is an exciting developer of cutting edge mobile applications in Kyoto.
