Dreadnought Design ‘pleased’ with development progress on Penguin Panic game
HERTFORDSHIRE, UK – September 1, 2010 – iPhone games developer, Dreadnought
Design, today released a statement on the development progress of their
current multi-platform game project – Penguin Panic.
A new take on the classic shoot-em-up game for consoles, Penguin Panic by
Dreadnought Design is an arcade style game where the player is submerged
beneath the ocean waves to catch fish for Percy Penguin – the game’s lead
character. Many hazards lie in wait, including the likes of electric eels
that sap Percy’s energy. To be successful the player must catch fish by
type. Too many caught in the wrong order means curtains for Percy. Too few
caught and Percy may starve!
John Thornewill, CEO and lead designer on the project, is pleased with the
progress being made.
“The main game environment and core game functions are operating well,”
says Thornewill. “Work is ongoing to add more functionality and better game
playability. It is all still very much in development and there is scope
still for lots of great ideas to be added.”
The Hertfordshire design studio aim to have a beta version available for
game players to test out free of charge early September, before Penguin
Panic goes to final release later in the month on iPhone, iPad, PC, Mac and
