App Review: Rescue Pine by Kypello
Rescue Pine lies in the “physics destroying object based ” puzzle genre build with splendid graphics and challenging levels.
The story is about saving Pine, a cute little porcupine from injury. Pine needs to get to his dad Porcupa, and your mission is to destroy obstacles between them to make that happen.
The game is all about physics calculations to clear the obstacles and save the Pine from getting hurt. Instead of just dropping an object to the ground by removing blocks, You have to make two porcupines touch each other, Pine and his father. Pine can’t hit the ground, but his father can touch the ground.
The physics and interface are what really make the game, and both of those performed quite admirably.
Graphics are solid, with vivid colors to present us with the forest ambiance. They are strongly backed by its background music, which is pleasant to enjoy the game.
Physics engine is way better than other similar games like tiki totems, Levels have more variations and creativity. Most important, they are fairly most challenging. The game is a robust one at that. Some levels really make you think, but they are not impossible to figure out, so that’s a good balance about a puzzle game at least for me.
Rescue Pine has totally 75 puzzles that are packed under 5 packages. The more the puzzles you solve greater the toughness of the puzzle, so you need to think strategically before making any moves.
Additional features like OpenFeint are included for achievements, and the developers are promising more level packs in the future.
If your are a puzzle fan, Rescue Pine is worth huge attention. A brilliant game if you are looking for something to cheer you up. One of my new favorite ways to waste time on the subway.
My Rating: 8/10
What I like: Lots of levels and packages. Fun and time wasting!!
What I don’t like: Some levels are hard to finish.
-I would like to see a “HINT” feature added to the game, this would make it a little helpful.
