LiveTennis - live tennis results iPhone app is a nice convenient app that provides live coverage and up-to-minute tennis scores of all ATP and WTA tennis matches.

The results are separated into easily browsable categories allowing you to find specific matches very quickly. There’s also a useful feature MyGames which allows you to select specified matches and move them to a separate list which saves your time finding those matches again or after the app quits.

All ATP and WTA tournaments are covered including all Grand Slams, Masters and other smaller competitions. Tennis results are offered instantly (free version has a 20min delay, though).

If you see a flag and you wonder which country/organization it belongs to, this iPhone/iPod touch application can help you. Just select some or all of the main colors, the pattern and the symbol (if any) of the flag, and you’ll get a list of flags that match the criteria. You can also search for countries. It contains 271 flags.

In addition to flags, you’ll get some facts about each country/organisation. And it can open Google Maps inside the app. You can choose between map view, satellite view or hybrid view.

Everything (except for the Google Maps) is stored locally, so you don’t need to be connected to use it.

Dictionary HaHa - an amusing dictionary for the iPhone and iPod Touch by Utility Warrior

A playful take on a normal dictionary containing alternative and amusing definitions for categorized words and phrases.

For example, “Absentee – An accessory that is missing from a golfer’s bag.”

Unusually for an iPhone or iPod Touch application there is a built-in form that allows users to submit their own definitions for inclusion in updated versions. All users who submit words and definitions that get used will get their names listed on a credits page in a forthcoming update.

ToneTune is a multiple tuning fork that helps you tune the strings on your stringed instrument to the correct pitch by ear without searching through hard-to-find books or the web.

Over 60 different tunings are included, covering common guitar tunings and alternates, and quite a few instrument tunings from around the world!

Simply select your instrument and tuning, and tap the graphic to get the right pitch for each string. It can even play all the notes in sequence, as many times as you like.

You can also pick individual pitches to play over 10 octaves.

Version 1.1 is currently In Review, as is a new free version, called ToneTuneLT (with a reduced number of tunings and note range).
