The Nike Plus system was developed in May 2006. It allowed owners of Nike shoes with Nike Plus capabilities to sync a chip, placed inside their shoe’s sole, with their iPod. As iPod technology advanced, so did the Nike Plus system. It now can connect the chip in your shoe with not only the iPod Nano (via an adapter you plug into the Nano unit) but it can also automatically connect with the iPod Touch or iPhone 3GS. The system allows you to track running or walking workouts and save them using the system’s software. Another function of the Nike Plus system is the option to create and edit customized workouts.Other People Are ReadingHow to Change the Date on Nike Plus WorkoutHow to Adjust Nike Plus RunsThings You'll NeedNike Plus systemiTunesiPod Touch or iPhone 3GSComputerNike Plus system softwareUSB connector for iPodShow MoreInstructions Connect iPod1Plug your iPod USB connecting cord into your iPod Nano, iPod Touch or iPhone 3GS.2Plug the other end of the USB cord into your computer.3The Nike Plus System works with the latest version of Apple's iTunes software.
