App Review: 2 Flight Apps by inZania

Ever wanted to check the price of airfare, but there is not a computer around?  Or maybe you just want to get out of town.  inZania has two apps in the iTunes App Store designed to help you find the cheapest and best airfare.

cheapescape1 100x150 App Review: 2 Flight Apps by inZaniaThe first app is called Cheap Escape.  This app is very simple and easy to use.  You simply enter in the airport that you want to depart from, and the app finds the cheapest airfare from that airport to many destinations.  You can browse pricing to many different locations.  This app does not, however, display the flight information for you.  When you tap on a city, you can then email the flight to yourself or open it up in Safari.

 

airfare6 100x150 App Review: 2 Flight Apps by inZaniaThe second app, Airfare, offers more functionality and is more helpful, I think.  Airfare allows you to search for flights more specifically.  You can search one-way or round trip flights in much the same way as you can on Travelocity, Expedia, or other such websites.  You enter in the cities you want to fly to and from and the dates you want to fly.  The app will find the cheapest flights (including Southwest flights).  This particular app is nice because in the search results, it displays the airline, price, number of stops, total travel time, and the departure and final arrival times.  Once you have found a flight that interests you, you can once again choose to email it to yourself or open it up in Safari.

These two apps may not be the easiest way to book your travel, but they are are great way to research pricing and flight times.
