ragdoll2c1 200x300 App Review: Ragdoll Blaster 2 for iPhone by Backflip StudiosOne of our favorite physics game for the iPhone is Ragdoll Blaster where you use a canon to launch ragdolls to hit a target. The sequel, Ragdoll Blaster 2, builds on the puzzles of the first iteration with some significant improvements in many areas that make it a worthwhile sequel. Since Ragdoll Blaster 2 has been in the top 100 for a few weeks now chances are you’re already playing it. However, if not then this review is for you.

The first thing you will notice with Ragdoll Blaster 2 is that the graphics have been significantly improved over the line-drawn style of the first version. The game now has very polished and very good graphics that shows that the Ragdoll Blaster franchise is well alive and maturing.

The other major improvement in RB2 is the new enhancements to the puzzles. Yes, RB2 has a bunch of new puzzles, but what I mean by enhancements is that the developers have added levers and buttons and other physical objects into the mix. Pushing buttons or moving levers will alter the puzzle in some way, usually making it possible to complete.

We’ve been playing Ragdoll Blaster 2 for a few weeks now and have been really enjoying it. I have a 6 year old that loves the first version and now I can’t get him to put down this version. However, don’t be fooled, Ragdoll Blaster 2 isn’t just for kids, it’s for everyone and that’s one of the big reasons we really like this game. The game is almost universal in it’s target audience which makes it an easy buy. RB2 is also addicting for all ages with great puzzles that continue to advance and build upon the first version.

As previously mentioned, we love the Ragdoll Blaster series here at AppChatter.com so we recommend it to anyone that likes physics or puzzle style games. It’s well worth the $2.99.

What we liked: Great, improved graphics over v.1, new puzzles and objects make it a great sequel.
What we didn’t like: Nothing comes to mind.

App Review: Ragdoll Blaster – A Physics Puzzler by Backflip Studios

ragdollblaster6 150x150 App Review: Ragdoll Blaster A Physics Puzzler by Backflip StudiosRagdoll Blaster – A Physics Puzzler by Backflip Studios is a great puzzle that feels like a game. The goal of the game is to use the least amount of ragdolls that you can to launch one of them into a red target. You shoot the ragdolls out of a cannon. Some blocks are breakable, and others are firm. The cool thing about this game is that, in some levels, the target moves. You have to really use your brain to setup the levels just right to win.

To shoot your cannon, tap on the screen in the direction you wish to shoot. The farther your finger taps away from the cannon, the more power that the blast will have. You can shoot as many ragdolls as you want, but you may not be able to beat your friends’ scores. Some levels require you to break down large structures, or use catapults.

Ragdoll Blaster is a great physics puzzler that will keep you entertained for a long time. This game has great replay value and requires some brain power. Ragdoll Blaster is one of the best puzzlers I have played, and it’s a game! This is a great buy with over 70 challenging levels with a smooth learning curve.

Ragdoll Blaster – A Physics Puzzler is $1.99 in the iTunes App Store.
