:Shift: by Armor Games Inc. is a challenging and unique puzzle game. It will make you think in a new way. You are subject 32763 in an experiment. You just have to find your way out the door on each level. Sounds like a mouse in a maze, right? This maze has one big twist, though. There is a shift button on each side of the screen. If you tap one of these buttons, the black and white areas on the screen swap places. The background color becomes solid ground and the solid ground turns into the background. When this change happens, the screen and your guy on the screen flip over to compensate for the change.
At first, the puzzles seemed impossible. However, I quickly learned to how to take advantage of the shifting property to help maneuver each of the levels. Don’t get me wrong, some of the levels are quite challenging and will take you several tries to conquer. Some even have a row of spikes that creep across the screen after you, limiting the amount of time that you have to complete the level. The controls are simple enough. Tap left or right to move in that direction. Tap both or the center of the screen to jump. For added speed, you can change the way that you tell the app to shift so that you can induce a shift by simply tilting your device. :Shift: is a great new app for those who like a good puzzle.
:Shift: is $0.99 in the iTunes App Store.

Shift by MunkyFun, Inc. is a fun and great-looking logic game. The goal in this game is to shift the shiny blue cubes into their places by using the objects around you and your brain. For each level there is a par number of moves to accomplish this task. This number indicates the smallest number of moves needed to beat the level. You can use as many moves as you need, though. On some levels there are holes into which the cubes can fall. Other cubes can ride on top of the ones that fall through, but if you lose too many cubes, you will have to restart the level. There are two ways to restart the game. You can just touch the restart button at the top, or you can tilt your device upside down. There are two ways to move the cubes; tilting your device or swiping your finger across the screen.
There are six level packs, and each pack has at least twenty levels. So, there are plenty of levels to keep you busy for a long time. After you have chosen your level pack, the levels show up with the names and par. After you have completed the level, your score will be shown next to the par number. If you beat the level in the perfect amount of steps, a pink indicator will appear next to that level. To unlock the next level pack, you must complete most of the levels in the previous pack. As you complete more and more levels, the difficulty becomes increasingly difficult, and it takes a lot more time to figure out each level.
All in all Shift is a fun, mind-twisting, brain-cramping logic puzzle game. It is a must have for anybody that likes a logic challenge.
Shift is $1.99 in the iTunes App Store.
