splatsquare1 150x150 App Review: Jason BoothSplat… by Jason Booth is a great game based on the old game Mono. The goal of the game is to destroy the colorful blobs and survive for as long as possible.  Each blob takes multiple shots to destroy.  As they are destroyed, they split into smaller blobs. There are three levels of difficulty.  The harder the level, the more times the blobs split. This game is unique because the enemies shoot back. To control your ship, place your thumbs on the screen. The right thumb controls the direction you shoot, and the left controls your ship’s movement. As you destroy the blobs, they leave behind power-ups. These power-ups can increase the number of bullets shot. Other power-ups include slow motion and a paint button that pushes all enemies away.

Once all of your life is gone, your personal stats are shown and you are given the chance to upload your score onto the high score board.  This board shows you all of the scores for each of the three difficulties. If you want to know more about the game and the inspiration behind it, check out the About button

This is a fun and colorful game that will keep you entertained for hours. If you like classic shooter games, this one is for you.

Splat… Is available in the iTunes App Store for $0.99.
